We have been working closely with the crew from Plankie Plankie who are busy filming for their 4th video that is expected to come out about this time next year. Yann finished his exams on Thursday and flew up from Durban to spend some time with his homies and get some filming done.

A big crew of guys all got together on Saturday at Skinner for an afternoon session. It was probably the fullest I have seen it and with the spot being pretty territorial is was good everyone there knew each other and there were good vibes.

Yann had been eating it the whole morning in the ditches and was feeling like a beat little alter boy. It was pretty hot for a mid Winters day and everyone was more willing than usual to throw themselves around and a lot of good filming got done.

 There were some lurkers on the other side of the plot blasting some horrible radio metal out of their car, drinking Sambuka by the bottle, blazing fat ones and panning the area with perma-smiles. It was a good show. Everyone rolled around, filmed and chilled till the sun wend down and closed the session.

On Sunday everyone gathered at a commune in Pretoria East where a bunch of German skaters were staying. They had emptied their pool and everyone was trying their luck. Really chilled day with a lot of laughs and more people there to hang out than skate. People knitting, drinking, sleeping in the sun, making smoke signals and party dog…

It was good to see Deon back u pand out after his car accident. He was in high spirits and recommending the pain killers he was on. I sure he will be back on his board soon.
